Grand Opening of Piasa Martial Arts Academy 

Thank you to everyone who came out to help support and celebrate our Grand Opening!! God blessed this business years ago and continues to do so. The families are what makes Piasa Martial Arts so great. So thank you to everyone and Candy J. Liley and Scott her daughters for so much help with all of this. There was a lot to do and they have been such a huge part of all of this. We were so blessed again for the turnout. We have never done a ribbon cutting ceremony so that was fun. **STICK WORKSHOP***

We will have our first stick workshop on November 15th!! Each class is 2 hours. The cost is $50. This includes sticks that you keep! If you already have sticks let us know and the cost will be less. We will have a class from 10 to noon and 1 to 3 on Saturday the 15th!! This workshop is not open to the Mighty Mites class. I apologize but only for the beginners classes and advanced classes. We will have a signup sheet and this is PRE REGISTER and pay before class only! We have enough for 50 this first workshop!! 75 all together. Lots of stuff to learn and this is a totally different style of Martial Arts. Serata Escrima, to close and skirmish. I will also open this up to anyone who would like to learn sticks. You don't have to be a Piasa student.

*****Color Belt Tests*****

Please make sure you are prepared for your test, making sure you know all of your hand techniques, kicks, forms, self-defense and/or destruction techniques. Advanced belt tests include sparring. 

Our next color belt test will be November 8.

Beginner Test: 9am

Advanced Test: 10:30am

*****If you are not ready, you can always test at our next test which is usually every 3 months.

*** Women's Self Defense Class***

Every Monday night from 7 to 8 is our Women's Self-defense class!! This is for ladies age 13 and up. We will work on strikes with our hands, feet, knees and elbows. Also, lots of scenario-based Self-defense, escapes, holds and counters. We have women trained Black Belts that will be there to assist each class! You DO NOT have to be athletic. Most women will be able to participate in these classes. This is great for mothers, daughters, grandparents, realtors, women alone at any time, retail workers, etc. We also encourage you to do it with someone else. Mothers and daughters, friends, work friends. We offer family rates and membership discounts also. The class will be $50 a month, and we will offer your first class free! I encourage women to do this.
